SIMONE FERKUL | SENSIBLE HORIZON
Tuesday, January 22nd - Sunday Feburary 17th
Opening Night Reception | Tuesday, January 22nd, 6 -10pm
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Our state of being is always influenced by our perspectives. ‘Sensible Horizon’ seeks out to explore the intersection of two infinite planes as experienced by the observer.
The horizontal divide between the earth and the sky is an imaginary line of reference that is exclusive to each viewer’s perception. The mysterious meeting of these two planes in the horizon appear to be finite, but are actually a continuum. This sense of divide baffles the observer leaving them to form their own understanding of where the boundary lies. The objects created for Sensible Horizon play with planes testing their relationships through interlocking elements to celebrate each unique sense of connection.
A proud part of the 2019 DesignTO Festival.
