SALLY ZEPHYRSON // Omar Lalani
Friday, August 11th to Sunday, September 4th
Opening Night - Friday August 11th | 6 - 10pm
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
SALLY // a disruptive event or attack
ZEPHYR // a gust of wind
“Sally Zephyrson” addresses forces beyond our initial view that guide and disrupt our lives. Things which are beyond our immediate focus, but are the drivers behind the decisions and experiences we face. In this body of work, wind is used as a physical representation of this subtle world, it surrounds us, and affects us, but we cannot see it. Everything affects us, so what is constant, controllable, and un-affected?
ABOUT THE ARTIST : Omar Lalani
After graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design, Omar went on to apply the critical thinking he gained from his design focused degree and apply it too a career in fine arts. Developing his subject matter into Meta-Narrative, abstractions of reality, he allowed the subject matter to form around his love for the medium, and for the tactile aspect of painting. Omar now works out of his studio in Toronto, Ontario.
