A TROIS : DESIGN LOVE TRIANGLE | 3rd Year Anniversary Concept

October 4th - 28th

Three has always been a number of significance, completeness and harmony. From epic trilogies and Triple Crowns to the Holy Trinity – three is perfect, destiny fulfilled. In art and design, groupings of three are considered the most harmonious; the rule of thirds has long been considered the guiding principle for beautiful composition.

Yet three is a number with many faces. Three can also be a number of intrigue and mystery – the third acting as the saucy, unknown addition to the existing pair. From love triangles to the Bermuda Triangle, these are threes that transcend, threes that shake up the norm. When two is company, and three’s a crowd – things can get interesting.

Harnessing both the harmony and unpredictability of the number three, A TROIS : Design Love Triangles explores the outcomes of combining or grouping 3 elements, motifs or pieces together, or introducing a third element into an existing pairing. Consider it design with a beginning, middle and end.
